Accessibility statement
If any part of this site, or of buying from us, does not work for you, tell us and we will fix it.
What we aim for
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the standard most of the world's accessibility law points at, and it is a reasonable bar for a site this small.
What is built in
- Every page works with the keyboard alone, and the focus outline is always visible.
- A “skip to main content” link is the first thing on every page.
- Text meets AA contrast against its background, and color is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Every image has alternative text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Headings run in order, and the page structure uses real landmarks.
- Form fields have real labels, and errors are announced as text, not just color.
- Animation is switched off entirely for anyone who has asked their system to reduce motion.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without the layout breaking or content being cut off.
- The site works with JavaScript switched off.
Known gaps
- The video on the home page is hosted on YouTube. Captions on it are controlled by whoever uploaded it, not by this site.
- We have not yet tested the whole site with a screen reader. The markup follows the practices above, but we would rather say what we have checked than claim more than we have.
